  1. Thanks for this article on the top 10 reasons why you should eat healthily. I found myself nodding in agreement with your reasons as I went through each of them, and you have raised some very compelling points. In the day to day routine that we are all in, it can be easy to cut corners, order fast food, or but processed pre-cooked foods, etc.

Have you found that it is costlier to move to a more healthy diet? In my experience, at first, I was spending more, but as time has gone on, I am able to do so while spending less money. It does take more time but the boost in flavors and nutritional value make it well worth that time.

  2. Hello Marvin, I must say that this article is very helpful and informative. It is great I stumbled upon your article because you motivated me and inspired to start eating healthy. Just like you said, it is very important to eat healthy for many different reasons but unfortunately, not so many listen and continue with old habits. I hope your word will help many others, just like me.

  3. This is a good article on why we should always have healthy diets. The first reason is kind of porpular and can’t be douted. There are few among the list that are new to me. And, I must say I learned some stuff from what you’ve written about them.

There is one thing that I’ve been wondering about; It’s the fact that eating unhealthy can increase the chances of developing various types of cancer. A question I have is, is there any particular food that will likely cause some type of cancer if consumed. I would have loved to see those types of food listed in this article, if known.

  4. Lovely post! 10 very good reasons to eat healthy. As an energystrategist with a focus on daily practice I believe eating healthy is very important for overall wellness and productivity.  It also gives you the right kind of energy to endure longer. I enjoyed reading this post and I agree to all the reasons you listed above.

  5. I agree with all those reasons. I think a lot of us know and agree but it really is the value we place on ourselves that determines whether or not we follow this advice. It is so much easier to drive up to a window and order food than to carefully purchase the right food and cook it . I am learning to fix my own food because i know what i am putting in it. My numbers are improving and my weight is getting to a good place. I really am loving my vegetables. Thanks for the reminder

  6. This article is useful at the present time. Because people are more interested in unhealthy foods. And suffering from diseases like heart disease, diabetes and cancer etc.Thank you so much for sharing this great article with everyone. My father suffers from heart disease, he eats a lot of fat. Because of this he was ill. When avoiding fat consumption. At that point my father is very good.I think we should all eat healthy foods. I believe that healthy food is good for body and mind. And helps reduce stress.I will share this post on social media. I hope others benefit.

  7. I need to memorise your list of ten. Whenever I get into a discussion about diet, I always find I am lacking the knowledge to  win someone over. Not that I try and push my way of thinking onto others but knowing of all the benefits, it seems only right to try to share them.

We were only talking about this earlier today. My wife and I were discussing ‘nature/nurture’ and were puzzled by the fact that two of our four children are really into eating healthily, while the other two aren’t. From our standpoint, it would make sense for all of them to follow our lead. We’re both vegetarians and have a varied and nutritional diet.

That said, there are a few things on your list that I wasn’t aware of. I had no idea that certain nutrients could help with cortisol levels. Eating the right food to help keep your stress levels down, is definitely something that I will look into.

  8. This is great to read especially for someone like me who has a busy professional life and eats junk food quite often. After reading this post, I will invest my time and money into healthy eating. Healthy eating also helps to improve your subconscious mind which in turn improves your mental well being. Thanks for sharing
